While a few weeks ago I spoke by chance of my heart by revealing you a few photos of the XX at the Nurburgring here I am ready to tell you about my first time behind the wheel of a Ferrari. It is on the occasion of the opening of a new dealership in Mulhouse that Ferrari West Europe invited me along on a little roadtrip from Paris to flying a few models in the range. Engine Start!

After a fire in 2016 who destroyed the concession, a new page had to be written for Modena Motors. Historically installed in the Haut-Rhin in the past 35 years, the major partner of Ferrari, flows up to 150 cars a year, and new opportunities together, thus becoming the 2nd national distributor. To mark the occasion, the President Jérémy Mennechet and his teams have chosen to say goodbye to the old name to now proudly display the name of SF Is Great.

A launch party was held on Wednesday, October 16, to allow some of the 400 guests to discover this new jewel dedicated to the passion and sportsmanship. In this brand-new building of 4500 m2, featuring the latest visual identity of the manufacturer, it’s all what it takes to maintain his car but also take the keys out of his new toy, or even configure it in the best way its future model. With a lot of color, materials, seats, or rims, it is now possible to have a copy in his image and almost unique.

But before this, in the company of 5 other bloggers and each other, I then had the chance from the capital in the morning even to the flying of 3 copies of the Cavallino Rampant. A good initiative on the part of the manufacturer in order to immerse ourselves in the universe, Ferrari and putting ourselves in the shoes of a customer.

It is at the wheel of the Ferrari Portofino as we begin this journey with Mary Lizak of A Girl At the Wheel. With under-the-hood prior to its V8 biturbo 600 hp it embodies the entry-level Ferrari. The least powerful, the least expensive, certainly, but not the less interesting for that. While it was perhaps for me the one I knew least, I am finally literally fell in love. I’ve always been a fan of the real convertibles, those who give us really the impression to be in the open air, this coupe-cabriolet was launched by the California as of 2008 is the perfect example. And if roof is closed, it is almost cozy, with an absence of noise of wind and engine calms down in the 7th, once it’s folded down (at speeds of up to 40 km/h) we enter a whole other universe of vocalise. Expressive, unpredictable, and vivid, it transports us into a dream. – Yes, there, you notice that I lose in objectivity. – Its ease of use and its versatility, especially when I wandered alone part of the night in Mulhouse have me amazed. But be careful, easy does not mean Ferrari at a discount. Because with its 0 to 100 km/h slammed in 3.5 seconds and has a rear transmission, the manhood is always appropriate. When it comes to going to stretch the mechanics in the sublime Balloons of the Vosges mountains, it doesn’t take long to understand that this is not to put between all the hands. A few slides remind us of the order and then instant acceleration, without having to be ashamed of an electric car, we plate to the seat with panache ; the when the brakes are applied then add a good dose of strong sensations, the large disks of carbon-ceramic we stopped in for a moment. A huge smile doesn’t leave my face so that each curve is falling away faster and faster, in a din of noise mind-boggling. That is, the passion for the automobile !

Then, that evokes Ferrari inevitably think of the V12. And it is an impressive 812 Superfast of 800 hp which provides us with this pleasure. We exchange the keys in the day and take place almost with apprehension, behind the wheel. This 812 we ballote between two worlds, the world of Formula 1 and the Muscle Car. With a sound that is shrill and a motor that swings at each pressure on the accelerator pedal, the goosebumps appeared on my arms. As with the small Portofino, but here with even more sensations, it takes an evil pleasure to forget the Auto mode to cope with the pallets. It details the reports one after the other with extraordinary speed, as the engine never seems to run out of steam. The 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds is a formality and you would be already at 200 km/h without even noticing (7.9 s). Ferrari is first and foremost an engine, then it is a way to drive, but it is also a style recognizable at first glance. As often, I am usually perplexed at the unveiling of a new model, with a few items that clochent to my eyes, then my heart will eventually soften to force cross, before finishing up in adoration. The 812 has not escaped to this rule, but this encounter is so intimate and a livery Giallo Tristrato has accelerated this process. So put on the floor and to the broad shoulders, the beast is frankly intimidating on the road. The steering wheel also, with its long hood with large air intakes and wings prominent, one realizes what one has between the hands. It also requires only to drag and it is even more difficult to apprehend when we are not driver. Fierce, it requires a true commitment to the whip in the winding, but our Superfast a day of hard bitumen with a grip so impressive that one wants always more.

Finally, it is at the wheel of the GTC4 Lusso T that we went to the inauguration in the early evening. I’m not going to hide that I was disappointed by the sound far more discreet than his girlfriends. In contrast, DNA Ferrari is still present. In contrast to the large sister in V12, this Lusso T inherits the V8 biturbo engine developing here 611 ch. It loses at the same time the 4-wheel drive for a power sent only to the rear wheels, enough to make waddle your ass with style. The 4-wheel steering are still there and make it an agility astonishing for a car of 4m92. Fan of roadtrip, I can imagine so take a ride to family or friends, discover Europe, in a self as character. With 4 real seats and a trunk of 450 liters, it would make an ideal mount…

During the festivities, one of the senior officials of the Prancing Horse, Enrico Galliera (Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer, was delighted to present the F8 Spider for one of his first outings outside of Maranello. The F8 Is, so called as a tribute to the V8 which is the pride of its engineers by being elected 4 times in a row Engine of the year, already takes up. The performance of these small berlinettes are today worthy of the best hypercars in the beginning of this decade. Thanks to a design that came directly from the competition, by taking for example the cooling system of the 488 Challenge or a aero worked great with a lot of air intakes to the function well-defined, they explode the chronos. V8 engine, 720 hp allows it to reach 100 km/h in 2.9 s it also, thank you for the great work on the weight (1400 kg).

Finally, we would like to thank the passion of Guillaume, Experience Manager and organizer of this event, to the brand that has given everything to expose the most beautiful models. Among others the Enzo, LaFerrari or 599 GTO we had the luck to be able to turn around the stunning Monza SP1 or the latest SF90 Stradale, which announces the future of the brand with its hybrid drive 1000 + hp.

In addition to the standard possibilities, the investment of 5 million euros, will allow customers or prospective customers to take advantage of exceptional services. A guarding that can accommodate several dozen cars is now possible, as a transport service. The workshop is equipped with all the latest technologies to meet the requirements of Ferrari Approved and is more interested in the competition and to parts of collections. By purchasing the sites of the region PACA, Aix-en-Provence and Cannes, we see a bright future for Ferrari in France.

If we are delighted to have been able to attend this revival of Ferrari Mulhouse, beautiful projects and challenges are yet to come in the future, but in the meantime please do not hesitate to come and discover this new space, of which only Dubai and New York sported the codes 2019 until today, in person at Sausheim or on their social networks @ferrari_sfgrandest.
